With a background primarily in industrial manufacturing / distribution companies, Wade Roberts is an accomplished Senior Executive with over 30 years leading and advising both large public and smaller, privately held companies. His experience covers the gamut from earlier stage $5 million sales entities through $50 million sales threshold companies to $500 million plus sales public corporations. Specifics have included CEO/President/COO and General Management assignments in such diverse industries as liquid filled transformers, energized third rail, machine tools (including lasers), snowplow blades, road planning, coal mining tools, pumps for fire trucks, metal-cutting tools, industrial batteries, power electronics, yacht distribution and the trademarked “Jaws of Life”.
In addition to his industrial leadership assignments, Wade worked for McKinsey and Company as a strategy consultant, with a primary emphasis on the product / market strategy for industrial firms. Further, while with McKinsey, his clients included producers of aircraft components, railcar apparatus, non-current carrying electrical products, insulation materials, electronic components, and consumer packaged goods, especially the associated logistics and warehousing. Wade’s extensive experience in turn-arounds, team building, strategy development, mergers / acquisitions and dealing with the China threat / opportunity provides a practical foundation for creating client successes.
Wade holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science from the United States Naval Academy.
